Albano Bar Review Center (ABRC) aims to guide and assist a student of the Law become a member of the Bar, along with its powerhouse cast of lecturers who are also renowned authorities in their subject matter.

 

The Center was concieved by Dean Ed Vincent S. Albano and is committed to give its reviewees quality and competent legal education necessary to hurdle the Bar. 

 

ABRC has a total number of seven review centers scattered in key cities all over the Philippines like Baguio, Cebu, Tacloban, Naga, General Santos, Iloilo and in Metro Manila.

2012 BAR EXAM FORMAT, VENUE & SCHEDULE!!

 

The Supreme Court en banc has just approved today, 20 March 2012 the final format, venue & schedule for the 2012 Bar Examinations:

 

VENUE: University of Santo Tomas (UST)

FORMAT:

 

60% MCQ’s & 40% Traditional Essay Questions with Legal Memo only on the afternoon of the last Sunday on Practical Exercises.

 

The 1st 7 subjects (Political, Labor, Civil, Tax, Criminal, Commercial & Remedial) will have 60% MCQ’s & 40% Essay Problems.

 

The last subject, Legal Ethics & Practical Exercises will have 60% MCQ’s & 40% Legal Memorandum Writing.

 

Political, Civil & Remedial will have 100 MCQ’s.

Labor, Tax & Criminal will have 75 MCQ’s.

Legal Ethics will have 50 MCQ’s.

 

Each MCQ is allotted 1 minute & 12 seconds.

 

There will be 10 Essay Problems for each subject.

 

SCHEDULE:

 

Four (4) Sundays of October 2012 (Oct. 7, 14, 21 & 28)

 

1st Sunday: AM – Political Law / PM – Labor Law

2nd Sunday: AM – Civil Law / PM – Taxation

3rd Sunday: AM – Commercial Law / PM – Criminal Law

4th Sunday: AM – Remedial Law / PM – Legal Ethics & Practical Exercises

 

MCQ SCHEDULE:

 

Political, Civil, Commercial & Remedial – 2 hours each from 8:00 to 10:00 w/ 100 questions each.

 

Labor, Tax & Criminal – 1.5 hours each from 2:00 to 3:30 w/ 75 questions each.

 

Legal Ethics – 1 hour from 1:30 to 2:30 w/ 50 questions each.

 

ESSAY SCHEDULE:

 

Political, Civil, Commercial & Remedial – 2 hours each from 10:00 to 12:00 w/ 10 questions each.

 

Labor, Tax & Criminal – 1.5 hours each from 3:30 to 5:00 w/ 10 questions each.

 

Trial Memorandum Writing – 2.5 hours from 2:30 to 5:00 w/ 1 problem.

 

NOTE: The Trial Memorandum Writing will not be about Legal Ethics.

 

TIP: The Trial Memo Problem will be about a simple Civil or Criminal action!!

 

NEW INNOVATION: All examinees will be allowed to bring home the questionnaires after every subject!!
